It seems almost inhumane to say it, but accepting your panic attacks and anxiety is the key to overcoming it. Anxiety is fueled by your thoughts, feelings, stress levels and fears. If you can learn to give in to the anxiety, you can find your way to a healing place.

Anxiety attacks are like an insidious monster, and will feed on your every fear. I have lived with it my whole life and I can tell you, it does a wonderful job of turning into whatever particular ailment you might be concerned about.

Over the course of my battle with anxiety attacks and panic attacks, it has made me think I have cancer, heart problems, thyroid disease, Wilson’s disease, brain tumors and a list that could go on for years. You name it and my body told my brain that I had it. I always kept those fears locked up inside except for the times when I finally gave into the fear and went to the emergency room.

One day I learned that my fears were the driving force for my anxiety. For some this is not the case, but the vast majority have this problem if they have anxiety. After realizing that I was not dying of any deadly diseases, and being checked out thoroughly by a doctor, I began to realize that the fear could be offset by giving in to it. But what do I mean when I say giving in to it?

I allowed it to happen freely. When I began to feel a panic attack or anxiety attack coming on, I would simply tell myself to let it come. Let it wash all over your body and try to welcome it. This is not easy when you are having a panic attack, but I assure you it can be done. Somehow, not fighting the panic attack causes it to be less severe.

Have you ever noticed that when you get to the emergency room, the panic usually subsides or gets better? Why? Because you are in a safe place….(God willing)…

Hopefully this idea will help someone that suffers…If you have some thoughts or experiences that can be helpful or a comment on this, please do comment below. Also, be sure to subscribe.

Until Tomorrow….

Depression is not something that can be understood from behind a medical desk. The horror and pain that one feels when they are severely or “clinically” depressed is something that is only truly understood by those that have felt it. It is for this reason that I always felt a bit silly taking advice on the problem from my psychologist.

Depression Hits Many....Try These Tips!

Don’t get me wrong. My psychologist did wonders for me in helping me through my twenty plus year battle with anxiety disorder and depression. But when it came to the day to day grind of feeling depressed, he was hopeless in helping me out. I wanted answers to deal with right now….He only had answers he found in books.

Over the years, I found that not every depressed person responds to the same things. When you feel depressed, it can manifest itself in different ways. Lethargy, exhaustion, and just not wanting to climb out of bed is usually at or near the top of most lists however.

Here are some tips to deal with exhaustion and lethargy that is born of depression:

Remember that motivation is something that can be faked. If you feel unmotivated, it is relatively easy to pretend that you are motivated anyway. At least in short bursts. You would be surprised at how just trying can get you going. Fake it!

Getting a friend or family member to push you helps as well. We forget that the benefit comes after we start moving and doing. Not before. Have a friend get behind you and move you into action.

Do something with a child. Children are uniquely capable of making us forget about our depression and are like magic. Go out and play a game with your child or a friend’s kids. You would be shocked at how the adventure can take over your mind.

Pour yourself into the depression. Allow yourself to sink to the lowest mental depths possible, but with a stipulation. After a set amount of time, you are not going to allow yourself to wallow. If you feel horrible, then once again you should just fake feeling great. Not to others, but to yourself.

Exercise. People, you hear it all the time, but exercise truly is the key to overcoming the blues. Play a sport, go running or walking, or simply play a game with a loved one. Whatever it takes to get the blood pumping is the key to feeling much better. It works.

Spend some quality time with your pet. This does not mean laying on the bed and pouring out your troubles. This means getting off your butt and playing. Get the string for the cat, or take the dog on a frisbee throwing adventure. If you have a pet snake, then get him out and chase him around. lol.. Regardless, pets have a similar power like kids.

Finally, and most importantly, pray. The power of Jesus Christ is the most powerful salve for your depression. Imagine the most loving, caring and forgiving individual on the planet. Multiply that times infinity and you have Jesus before you. Talking to God and Jesus is like having a person that already knows all your troubles, and they will help you through all. Give yourself to the Lord, and you will be shocked at the love you receive. There is no better cure folks.

These are only some of the many cures for depression that can help you right now. Try them and please remember, someone cares. I care. Please subscribe so that we can become closer and help one another. Please feel free to comment below, and share anything that you find helpful.

Anxiety has long been a contributing factor in the development of depression. It is sometimes hard to know which one actually came first – the anxiety or the depression. Anxiety is a general term that describes those with anxiety disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, or various other problems having to do with anxiety. Depression often develops because of the intense and scary feelings that anxiety brings about.

Depression Can Be Beaten!

Anxiety is frustrating and can cause a wide range of symptoms. Common anxiety symptoms include racing pulse or heartbeat, hyperventilation, tight muscles, tension, feelings of impending doom, excessive worry, sweating, heart palpitations, chest pain, and any number of other symptoms. Anxiety will often mimic other more serious ailments.

This leads the anxiety sufferer to seek out medical help for a serious problem, only to be turned away time after time. This frustration of not understanding what is wrong and the hopelessness that naturally follows can lead to debilitating depression. This depression can lead to a whole slew of other dangerous symptoms in their own right.

The various symptoms that one might find in someone suffering from anxiety depression include a tightness in the back of the neck and head, headaches, helplessness, hopelessness, anger, fear, exhaustion, and in severe cases suicidal thoughts.

Anxiety depression, or depression that is born of anxiety is one of the most difficult depressions to beat. The reason for this is because you not only have to beat the depression, you must also defeat the anxiety as well. Both the anxiety and the depression feed into one another and this can cause both to seem insurmountable.

Depression or anxiety alone is hard enough, but having them both at the same time is truly hard.

If you suffer from anxiety depression, see a doctor as soon as possible and get some help. There are many things that you can do to make these things better. By all means, anxiety depression symptoms do not have to rule your life any longer.

One of the most frustrating things about panic attacks is never knowing if it is a dangerous situation or not. As you age, panic attacks begin to become even harder to decipher. When you are twenty, the odds are pretty darn slim that you are having a heart attack. When you are forty, that assumption can kill you.

Having suffered from a serious anxiety disorder problem for close to twenty five years, I can tell you a thing or two about panic attacks and heart attack scares. I have had my share of them over the years. I have been to the emergency room countless times over the years certain that I was about to have a heart attack, only to be told that my heart was fine. I have had CT scans, MRIs, heart stress tests, and virtually every other cardiac test known to mankind. Still, I find myself worrying over this problem.

I have asked the question a million times to a million health professionals. ”How can you tell a heart attack from a panic attack?” The answers have been varied over the years. Here are some common answers I have gotten:

Please do not take these as medical advice, as they are only answers I have gotten over the years. I am not a doctor, only a fellow sufferer like yourself.

When you have a heart attack, you will know the difference.

Heart attack pain is generally a crushing pain, whereas anxiety is usually not as severe.

Heart attacks usually will also have a shooting pain down your left arm, though not every time.

The vast majority of health care professionals simply said that an anxiety attack and heart attack are close enough in similarity that you should get checked each time. If I went and had my heart checked every time I had a panic attack, they would have to simply provide me a residence. I have them every day, and sometimes several times per day to varying degrees.

The truth is, the medical community has no right answer to the question of anxiety attack or heart attack yet. As discomforting as this is, I can tell you that I have spoken with many many people that has suffered with heart attacks, including some that have had anxiety and panic attacks.

They all have said that the heart attack was very very different, and they knew beyond all doubt that they were having something other than anxiety. That is small comfort, but hopefully it can give you some peace of mind.

If you have anything to add, please leave it in the comments section below. I would love to hear from you.

Also, do not forget to subscribe as I will be posting every day. Most of all, God bless you and know you are not alone. We will fight through this together.
